The Scarlet Bureau is a CRPG and Narrative Design Specialist studio founded By Brian Mitsoda and Cara Ellison, Based in dundee, Scotland. We are currently developing our first CRPG. We also offer contract narrative design services and consulting.

Our goal is to develop mature, real world/urban fantasy crpgs and immersive sims with a focus on reactive storytelling. We want to empower people to play through the story their way.

The Scarlet Bureau is going to open doors to places you haven’t been before.

Brian Mitsoda, founder/Director

Brian Mitsoda is a narrative designer with over 20 years experience leading teams and projects, with an emphasis on branching dialogue, narrative tools, and CRPG design. In that time, he has worked almost entirely on CRPGs, both creating original IPS and adapting established IPs. He is best known for Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines.

Cara Ellison, Founder/CEO

Cara Ellison is a bafta Award-winning narrative designer who has worked on beloved indie and AAA games such as Dreams, void Bastards, and God of War: Ragnarok. She brings years of design experience and a background in comics, tv, and games to her role as CEO of The Scarlet Bureau.
